I think Ole Miss fans are looking at this Kiffin situation from the wrong perspective.

I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m really not, but I never thought I would ever witness a 12 win season by Ole Miss. I’m sure many of you Ole Miss fans agree with me.

I get that Ole Miss fans are mad that Lane left. But Lane also showed you and everyone else the potential of your program. I used to think Ole Miss was a complete dogshit program like Miss State or Arkansas. But now I view Ole Miss as a program more like Florida: if they have the right coach, they’re a threat.

I think as the years go by, Ole Miss fans will grow to better appreciate Lane’s time in Oxford.

It's like when Saban unlocked LSU. Yeah we were mad he eventually went to bama but we owe the man. I love the guy now.

Honestly I am fine with Lane leaving...He gave us 6 great years, more than most expected.

Just hate he tried to burn it down on his way out, hate he can't leave a place without turmoil.

I know the college football calendar is f'd and not Lane's fault, but Lane could have handled this better. When he knew he was leaving he should have understood in no way was he coaching us in the playoff.

Wish he would have just said "Ole Miss has been great for me, a great six years, but I have to take the LSU job for me personally and I wish Ole Miss nothing but success in their playoff run". "wish the calendar was better, but I realize I can't have my cake and eat it too"

Very true but you can't over look the way he left.. He has already been check out of Ole Miss football between the FL and Egg Bowl games. Don't care what els says he already was thinking LSU.. Pete and other coaches step up and saved our season for the playoffs.

That’s literally true of any team anywhere.

Coaches come and go all the time. We had a blowout coaching staff in 2019 then everyone bailed for better jobs because of the noteriety that comes with winning a NC. That's just the way it is. You can't blame someone for wanting to make more money off of the hard arse work that they have put into being good enough that someone else wants to hire them.

Maybe he was confused since 2 of the 3 coaches who left their teams still coached the playoff.

So Nick Saban could have won a NC at JMU or Tulane or dozens of other colleges?

After Saturday, I wouldn't be supprised to see Charlie Weis ends up somewhere other than LSU. Without Kiffin, that offense didn't take a step back at all. Starts to make you wonder about Kiffin.

Good lord I feel sorry for you if you think the LSU head coach should have stayed in the Ole Miss building for weeks to coach the playoffs.

Are you not that smart? Apples to oranges when comparing G5 coach staying on.

In no way would LSU let a head coach who took the Alabama job coach in the playoffs for LSU. Ole Miss AD 1000% made the right decision telling Kiffin he couldn't coach.

Kiffin knew weeks earlier when he started flirting with Florida and LSU that he wouldn't be able to coach playoffs if he took another job.

He acted like a child.

It was Tulane though. Let’s see how the offense looks against UGA.

I get it but the functionality was no different.

The only difference was the pride of Ole Miss.

You realize just because LSU fans keep saying we're mad that they got Lane does not mean we are still mad.

No need to talk us off the ledge, we aren't there

What's the difference then, other than the pride of Ole Miss?

Come on, man. The rant has been a war zone over this for over a month. LSU fans and Ole Miss fans are both participating. You may not care but plenty of your fellow ole Miss fans care.

Hugh Freeze showed us the potential of the program. That’s why lane took the job to begin with when he was a fat pickled castaway. And we took him because we know we have the organization and resources to win with a good coach.
