Taking the Texas DC job?!?!
I just threw up in my mouth reading this on DN.

Will Muschamp returns to on-field coaching, hired as Texas defensive coordinator

I thought he didn’t want to coach while his son was at Vandy?

If he wants to be a HC again this is a better path than staying here as an assistant.

That sucks! It’s the last place we need him going. Only Bama would be worse.

We can’t even get our own coaches to be honest let alone potential recruits.

I was really hoping he'd join the full staff again for us.

He’s special agent Muschamp. Sent to destroy.

I can’t argue with that logic. Wonder if Texas will name him head coach in waiting a 2nd time?
I think one can probably also reasonably conclude Schu will be our DC for the foreseeable future based on this news.

Muschamp is a DGD and I wish his best, but that narrative always seemed screwy and never added up.

If he really would've wanted to watch is son play, he would've quit while his son was in high school, when his son was actually playing and not holding a clipboard on the sidelines. On Friday nights in the fall, college coaches are either on the road getting ready for a road game or on the road recruiting.

I don't like this one bit.

ETA: Word is he’s getting $4 million from Texas.

I guess he didn't want a co-title any more. I wonder if t this means Schumman is staying put? Be funny if Sark gets fired and he brings them both in to be OC and DC.

Players retire and then make comebacks. This isn't any different.

As long as Sark is in charge, they're limited.
