Why are people surprised ole miss is letting assistants going to LSU coach the playoffs?

The only assistant who has ever been kicked off a playoff team was Lane Kiffin by Nick Saban. I got no beef with the assistants, they’re just trying to keep their careers on track.

I've listened to a ton of podcasts on the Ole Miss/LSU saga. Being very honest here. Haven't really heard one person say they were surprised.

Lane deserves some sort of recognition from the SEC offices on how he’s handled allowing his assistants to go back and coach at Ole Miss.
The Ole Miss AD made such a mess of everything and really shite the bed. Thank goodness Lane is a good person and saved Ole Miss from further embarrassment
