Just curious… why does everyone believe that Alabama is Lane’s dream job?

Has he ever mentioned anything in the past or is there some reason people really want to believe this? Would love to know the facts :)

He’s unbelievably obsessed with status and his ego wants to tackle the biggest monster in CFB. He has also stated that you don’t want to be the guy after Saban, but the guy after the guy after Saban. Taking him literally, it would mean that he’s interested. But I’m not sure you can believe anything Lane says or take it literally.
