Guaranteed 9 wins a year, just as much financial support, less crazy fanbase…. and good coaching gets you to 10 or 11 wins on average.

I believe this is in play, especially if Alabama loses to Oklahoma. Both parties will be looking for a way out.

Unless he just really values getting a true blue blood gig, Alabama is better in every respect.

I would be shocked if Deboer left Alabama to go to Michigan, unless Alabama made it clear to him that they would not be particularly broken-hearted if he left. I do not think that is likely with them in the playoffs.

I never thought Penn St was a real thing, I think Michigan makes a real run for DeBoer though.

I think the broader CFB world discounts most of the pre-Saban, Bear-era lore at this point. It lacks the upper crust element of ND, Michigan, et al.
But it's a better job than Michigan unless you just really care about pure prestige.
