Not that it matters, but I thought the craziest committee decision was not putting UGA at the #2 spot and Ohio State at the #3 spot. 12-1 Sec champ rated lower than 12-1 big 10 runner up? UGA also avenged its only loss of the season with a thumping of Alabama. And no shade to Indiana, but thumping Alabama in championship week isn't more impressive than losing to Indiana? Makes no sense.

I believe it makes pretty good sense to myself (and many others). Bama was the epitome of the "walking wounded" against GA. And the Tide's inability to mount any semblance of a rushing attack put them behind the 8-ball from the opening possession.

OP is 100% correct.

Jawja the SEC Champ with only one loss and one bad half really should without a doubt be ranked #2.

Only a fool would disagree.

Disagree...we played a ton of bad halves. They just came out at half time with their tails on fire and made up for it.

GA should have been number 2.

The committee was a train wreck for four weeks. Of course it made questionable decisions all over the place

Maybe the committee doesn't really think much of us?

That is, maybe Georgia's win wasn't as impressive as Ohio State's loss as far as the committee's concerned?

Hell, who knows what the committee really even thinks? I sure have no idea.

To avoid conference championship rematch.

Same reason they moved SMU to 10 seed because Clemson got 12 seed last year

So they are just adjusting the all holy rankings so they can hand pick matchups for TV viewing? That's even more concerning and they would never admit to it.

If the loss of a championship game doesn't matter Ohio State should have stayed at 1.
