All he had to do was not fumble the ball before the kick - and that’s that - there first two games of the season were the only ones that mattered. Good team but is what it is - great run last year though and unfortunately I do think bama could make a run like they did after fsu!?

Don’t forget the blatant no call on Tamu on the winning TD.

It was a great game.

Much better than the SEC CG, which was more like an execution and cremation.

ND's holder will never live that down.

This is patently false. The reality is, no one knows what would have happened. If the holding was (appropriately) called, we still would have run a play from the 20, which is easily in touchdown range. Or, there might have been a PI. Let’s say the holder didn’t screw up. What would stop Elko from going for two if they scored?

The fact is, there is no way to know. What happened, happened, and there’s no point playing the what-if game.

Neither will Aggies forget the complete BS holding call against them early in the game on a critical down.

The Notre Dame holder cost them a chance at being tied and going to OT. Aggies were taking over the game so we still would have won.

Former Alabama QB Tyler Buchner was the holder.

That was one of the most blatant holds I've ever seen. Dude literally tackled the DT. It not only screwed ND, but it also screwed Vandy. Vandy likely would've been ranked higher than A&M.

There is also a video of the guy covering the A&M receiver that shows him grabbing and pulling on the receiver's shoulder. The ball is four foot away.
The video is slo-mo and also includes freeze frames.
There is also no reason to believe that ND would have automatically won that game in overtime had the guy not fumbled the snap.

Oh please. He hooked him and let him go and he fell down and there was no way he was going to impact the play as he was rolling out to the left. It was also an interior line hold which is rarely ever called.

"Blatant" holds involve holding a DE who has a free shot at the QB and you hold them back or grab them over the shoulder.

BTW, A&M had already gotten a TD Return called back on a hold on the other side of the field and had 13 penalties called on them that game, several of which were ridiculous and killed drives. How much fricking help did ND need?
