Bama doesn't really deserve to be in the playoff after that abomination of a performance in the SEC title game but it's entertaining watching the melt on the Rant because they got in

After winning 6 NC’s in the last 20 years, I wouldn’t lose sleep if they didn’t get in. At this point I am just here to enjoy the drama. Bama winning is just the cherry on the top.

Honestly was hoping for 7-5 after week 1.

But somehow we made it here and the melts are pretty fricking nice, I have to admit

Same here. I really don't get as invested in college football as I did pre-Covid/NIL/unlimited portal so I just relish the fact that I was front and center for the Saban Era and enjoy the games regardless of who plays. If Bama wins all the better. If not, so be it.

Doesn’t really matter. Anyone that has watched Bama over the last 5 games knows they aren’t a threat to get to the championship game.

You can't penalize a team for playing in a CCG, by dropping them out entirely.
They start that crap and that is the end of CCGs.

I agree but it's probably time in the current environment to put the SEC title game on the shelf. I thought Georgia was the better team this time around and expected them to win but I did not envision Bama getting arse raped like they did. No team that gets dominated like that deserves a playoff bid. Obviously the committee thinks otherwise so we will take it.

Is that not what happened with BYU?

BYU is a different case because they lost to the only team on their schedule with a pulse twice, while 'Bama beat UGA in their stadium earlier in the year. So 1-1, basically a wash, combined with a top 10 SOS and actual quality wins against ranked teams, and it's really not comparable.
