Can I get an objective opinion why OM is currently slated above A&M?

Spare me the weak schedule argument because the analytics say otherwise. Their SOS and SOR is not worse than OM. Oregon I get. But I truly don’t understand why OM and A&M aren’t flipped?

And please try to give an actual answer that the committee would use. Not bull shite.

Also I think Bama may still make it.

Both have 1 loss. OM loss was to the better team.

There’s no decent argument for it, except maybe they view Ole Miss loss as a better loss? I think A&M should be the higher ranked team. Both teams have similar conference wins, but A&Ms out of conference win over ND should push them ahead of Ole Miss

Simple.

A&M got beat by Texas who got beat mercilessly by UGA by 25 points.

Ole Miss only loss by a few points to Georgia. I would put Ole Miss ahead based on just that.

For some reason their 11-1 record over shadows their weak season and loss of head coach. They almost got beat by 3 very shitty teams too. Also somehow get lots of love for beating a bad miss state team in a rivalry game.

OM lost to a better team and has a better win at OU.

Because everyone is blinded by ESPN’s SOS number which combines a bunch of analytics.

This is the formula the committee uses and A&M is 20 spots below Ole Miss

LINK

A&M has one CFP Top 25 win, Ole Miss has two (Oklahoma + Tulane)

So yeah. It seems that wins should matter more than losses. Unless the loss is close. Because a team shows up and gets their arse handed to them by Georgia doesn’t mean they should get credit for that. See Bama last night. If Ole Miss gets credit for losing why doesn’t Bama?

Ole Miss played Georgia at Georgia, lead for 3 quarters, and lost at the end.

Because the aggies lost the first half of the LSU game and needed the LSU defense to collapse in order to win.

Sorry, that's all I got because IDGAF and we all know that LSU won this season.

No opinion from me, it really doesn’t matter so long as both are in a position to get a home game.

Getting your first playoff birth is a big deal, don’t complain about seeding.

I’m not complaining. I am trying to understand the metrics used. I’m sure there is reason that makes sense in some way.

Same record, better wins, “better” loss. What’s so fricking confusing?
