They'll be in unless the committee really wants to stir some shite up but I dont see that happening

Even if I agreed with this, for the SEC, we need to be in.
If Alabama dropped out of the playoffs after this, it sends a message to any SEC team, if they're in the same situation.... it's in your best interest to opt out of Atlanta and stay home.
