At LSU.

I'm not sure how much better you can draw things up.

Exactly. There is a mess to clean up first. And it's a doozy.

It was our plan so we could get Kelly fired. Thank you Aggies.

Has baker learned to defend a dual threat yet?

Yeah, can't wait to see what the guy who hung 17 on winless Kentucky with Jaxson Dart is gonna do with that explosive LDU offense.

Ole Miss finished '24 with the #2 scoring defense and #3 scoring offense and Kiffin still managed to lose three games.

In the past, I would agree with this statement but the transfer portal and NIL has made traditional recruiting and out scheming other teams less important. Vanderbilt today isn’t a possibility just 2-3 years ago and neither is Texas Tech or Indiana. Teams can reshape themselves essentially overnight and a lot of schools have wealthy donors so the notion that LSU is any better off than 10-15 other schools is pretty naive.

LSU fans can talk themselves into anyone being the greatest. Baker has been solid as a DC, but it’s been far from elite.

Is Baker a new defensive coordinator, if not how come Ole Miss is put like 35 points on them for like 5 years? Seems worse than golding.

This is the part that gets me and I've really been thinking that it doesn't matter about high school recruiting anymore.

Because you can recruit a kid at a high school who is a four-star and then if he doesn't get the starting job he just leaves for another school.

So recruiting high School is literally pointless because if the kid doesn't start he's just going to leave to another school and therefore the portal is where it's at because can just grab anyone you want. And if that portal kid doesn't start then he can just go to another school.

So it's almost like recruiting and the portal is amorphous you can just wait to see who doesn't start it and just grab them and then all the sudden you build your team with that and you have a top 10 team.

So it doesn't really matter who your head coach is and they certainly don't deserve the money that they get, now offensive coordinators and defensive coordinators if they're actually calling the plays absolutely matter. In fact I would say that you're coordinators matter more than the head coach due to the fact that recruiting and the portal are the way that they are.
