How many of UGA’s 7 losses in the last 8 games are due to Kirby’s gameday coaching?

He just seems to make crucial mistakes. Off the top of my head:

2025 - the 4th and 1 was bad. Not that he went for it, but the personnel he had in and the hurry up with a freshman OL against a strong senior DE who’s best strength is run stopping while your RB that has run for 100+ is on the sideline

2024 - 1st half…DeBoer coached circles around Kirby (could say the same about 1st half 2025 as well)

2023 - was this the double spy game on Milroe??

Can’t remember some of the others, but there was a fake punt game in there somewhere as well.

Just don’t think Kirby is a very good gameday coach overall. He’s good at halftime adjustments, but the rest is pretty bad.

The fake punt cost him an SECC years ago. That's why I'm convinced he tosses these games out of respect to Saban. He doesn't seem to make these dumbass decisions against other teams.

If I was him I'd come out as aggressive as possible. I'd take the ball 1st and it would be on.

There have been some hiccups over the years, mostly while playing Bama, but I've been impressed with some of his decisions of late. The drive where he went for it on 4th down twice against Texas, followed by the onside kick, sealed the win. It was ballsy and smart. The fake punt against Texas in last years SEC Championship game was bold. His best decisions seem to come against Texas. Now, he needs to duplicate that against Alabama.

Honestly, if Fields wasn't a mongoloid and went out there and snapped the ball, it was there. Dumbass shitting itself gave Bama time to sniff it out.

Do you think the fake punt in last years seccg was dumb? How about the onside kick against Texas this year?

Nobody thinks those are dumb because they were executed properly. The 2018 call was honestly one of the best play calls I've ever seen in my life, it just happened to coincide with one of the worst executions I've ever seen too. The call was fine. The execution was not.

I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Some of us like to base things on evidence and logic.

I’m guessing you think the reason for 1-7 is “luck.”

If you dont think Kirby is a good game day coach then you're just a dumb Gump.

Your coach has lost 87.5% of his games against the one team that consistently has a similar level of talent than him and I’m the dumb one?

We all get he can win games against teams with lesser talent. That doesn’t make him a good gameday coach, it makes him a good coach. You don’t seem capable of understanding logic or nuance.

So your whole basis for saying he isn’t a good game day coach is 8 of the 130 games he’s coached? You’re saying use evidence and logic but you don’t follow your own rules.

Two national titles, three sec titles and many other accolades speak to the contrary.

He's no Jimbo Fisher who had the money backing and Athletes and couldn't win shiite.

How many of those 122 games were against teams that were within 1-2 spots of composite talent?

Winning games when you are materially more talented and losing a vast majority when you are equal to worse isn’t good gameday coaching. Saban himself said to our AD when Saban was hired in 2007 that he would be an average coach but nobody would out recruit him. So if Saban was a self proclaimed average gameday coach, what does that make Kirby?

I mentioned 4 separate games of the 8 and not one was due to a TO. They were all coaching items
