I am only 15 minutes in but he has taken the high road on everything including telling the interviewer he had not one issue with the boosters or the admin.

I can’t think of a legitimate reason that he would have any hard feelings He was given every opportunity to succeed. He just never delivered.

I think dude would have probably been happier staying at the level of Liberty. College football coach right now has to be one of the most chaotic jobs there is. You have to be really hungry and after bombing out at Ole Miss, I'm not sure Freeze was locked in enough for this level.

What makes you say that? Him wasting time watching people play golf instead of coming up with a good game plan or reaching out to recruits?

He tried to claim he has already received a couple calls from other schools, and I dont believe it.
His pride as a coach is gone though so I wont hold it against him.

The DailyMemphian listed him as a dark horse for the Memphis job. Given the Memphis President was at AU before Memphis, he could have gotten a courtesy call from the AD. Although I think Memphis is looking at the Kennesaw State coach.

I mean I absolutely believe that some lower levels schools could want him. He is still able to recruit and at the lower level that is enough (it is not in the SEC.)

I was adamant about not wanting to hire Hugh Freeze, and I did a happy dance and high-fived my Auburn fan co-worker when the news broke that we fired him.
That said, I wish him no ill will and am pulling for him to get healthy, and will not begrudge him any future success he may find, whether in coaching or another endeavor.

He's still completely clueless. Talks about how we just seemed to make a critical error on a critical down late and lost games. No realization that the defense was the only reason we were even still in those games for his offense to screw it up late after punting all day.
