Carter should have been more aggressive with Kiffin. I expected us to do some kind of PR blitz but it seems like we have taken the head in the sand approach. I love Carter but we got fricked 3 ways to Sunday on this. The assistant staff should have been fully locked down prior to this debacle or alternates ready to go.

I don’t pretend to know what the situation was, but LK had the upper hand the whole time. You can’t really fire him, can’t really suspend him cause then it’s going to court. Ole Miss had to slow play it enough to let LK become the bad guy. You can try to get Sumrall or someone similar on board, but you can only dwindle the carrot for so long. Maybe the biggest thing could be retaining staff, but not sure what the method would be for that.

The assistants were clearly leaving no matter what. That’s why Lane made the threat he did
The stupid as frick thing Carter did was hiring Pete fricking Golding as the permanent head coach. Nobody on that staff believes in him and I guarantee you’re going to see a mass exodus of players after the playoff is done (hell maybe before).

Yeah, my thought was more about having a plan to actually mitigate what we all knew Kiffin was going to do on the way out and then doing a PR blitz in the media. Our plan didn't work and honestly seemed more like a last minute deal than a well thought out plan. And we have done nothing in the media. The only thing coming out is Lane's lies. That's what I'm disappointed in. We weren't ready when the button got pushed. It was all last minute.

I understand Golding was simply damage control. I don't know what we could have done differently there. That hire was done simply to keep us from being dinged in the playoff. We will see what the future holds. I'm more upset about the bullshite in the media. We needed Carter live on camera with McGee while he was there. Instead, we got Kiffin crying "poor me" at the airport and NOTHING from our side. Nothing.

We haven’t lost anyone other than Garrison that wasn’t going to leave anyway.

Is he officially gone?

Neither he nor Smith are officially gone yet, but they should be the last two.
Smith even pretending to stay shocked me.

So we get Joe Judge and a group of grad assistants running the offense in the playoffs?
Posted on 12/1/25 at 9:53 pm to Jimmy Chestnut
No, I’m not 100% positive on who, but we’ll have people in places doing things at the appropriate level. Everyone needs to take a breath. The paint isn’t even dry yet. If there’s no clarity by Thursday then panic by all means.

Any coach that would abandon this team and cheat these boys out of a playoff can go frick themselves. These assistant coaches actually are offered the opportunity to do so and are choosing the dark side. I hope every one of these asshats gets fired when Lane has his eventual collapse at LSU. What we need to do is poach Frank Wilson. Their recruiting will fall off immediately. Golding was brought in and fixed our recruiting. That's a good bit of why we pulled the 2024 transfer class that we did.

No shite guys. Learn the term damage control. I'm disappointed in the lack of a plan and us allowing ourselves to be fricked but I also understand why the decisions that were made were made.

I don’t think we need to immediately attack. Let them get their shite out so it doesn’t turn into a back and forth. Our PR people aren’t totally incompetent.
Also, it helps to have Pawwwwwlllll of all people going after lane anywhere that will have him on. Shoutout Kaitlan.

It’s insane to me that y’all think Golding is going to be anything but a disaster.
And no, just like Matt Luke he doesn’t “deserve a chance and all our support”. frick him and frick Carter for hiring him

Bill Cowher was my favorite blast of Lane. And was glad to see the angle that SEC Shorts took. We got DNA Wolken of all people on our side and Nicole Aurbach (sp?) bitching about Lane constantly. Hell, Laura Ingrahm even blasted him. But what concerns me is ESPN. That seems to be the place that rules college football and it's been all pro Lane. That's the one that pisses me off.
