OU is ranked higher than Tejas and only has 2 losses.

If they win the SEC? I'll let you figure that one out.

Bama fans want the SEC title game to be guaranteed not to hurt them, but they do want it to be able to help them.

Doesn't matter what Bama fans want. The committee makes the decision. I want to win the SEC. I'm sure the players and coaches want to win the SEC, and that's what they're going to try to do. That's all they can do.

They also lost to fricking Florida State. They didn’t just lose, they got the shite beat of them. They also have nail bitters against some of the “worst” teams in this conference.

Yeah, they want everyone to forget about that FSU game, but if wins count, losses should, too. What’s the point of playing otherwise?

I wouldn’t be mad at that, even if we did bully them. I like Vandy.

Oklahoma is ranked above Texas, so if your only criteria is comparing those two games, the OU loss isn't as bad as losing to Texas.

That said, A&M is 11-1 and we're 10-2. We only jump A&M if you think the rest of their schedule is such a joke that we deserve to be above them, but while ours was harder it wasn't so much harder that we deserve to be ahead of them.

Plus they have the MUCH better OOC win (Notre Dame) and didn't lose a game they should have won (Florida State).

But if your only argument is Texas vs Oklahoma, then Oklahoma is the "better" loss on account they're 10-2 to Texas' 9-3.

If Alabama wins the SEC title game, they should be the 4th Seed. They jump everyone but Ohio State and IU, and Texas Tech, assuming they win the BIG12 title game. Ohio State and IU loser is still a top 3 seed as they will be 12-1 and only loss would be to obviously the BIG10 Champ. And while yes this the SECrant, the last 2 NC's reside in the BIG10.

Well, this portion of the argument is just nonsense.

Texas A&M has "nailbiters" against SEC teams with losing conference records:
Auburn (6 point win)
Arkansas (3 point win)
South Carolina (1 point win)

Alabama's "nailbiters":
Auburn (7 point win)
South Carolina (7 point win)

So you're saying Alabama should have two one-score games against teams with losing conference records against them, but A&M's three one-score games against similar competition get a free pass?

What kind of moronic argument is that?

Bama wins the SEC. Bama 2-0 vs UGA. Bama hosts UGA in the playoffs. Bama wins again 3-0 vs UGA. Make it happen, cap’n

Bama didn't jump A&M, there was a 4 way tiebreaker between Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss.

Alabama and Georgia won the tiebreaker to appear in the championship game because of the cumulative conference winning percentage of all their opponents.

That’s how it worked last year. Only difference is this year it’s Bama and not SMu.
