Alabama took Nick Saban after he lied to the Miami Dolphins and said that he wasn’t going to Alabama. But I guess that’s different.

I don't know if Kiffin will be looked at as a successful LSU hire in five years but I'm not sure any of the fans of Tennessee, Alabama, Southern California, Florida, or Ole Miss can make a convincing moral argument against LSU hiring him (unless they are/were outspoken against him as Head Coach of their own team).
Tennessee sniped him from the Raiders, Southern California from Tennessee, Florida considered stealing him from Ole Miss, Alabama still talks about him as an option, and Ole Miss hired him after the Tennessee and Southern California history.
He might be a hoe but the lot of you are his Johns or failed suitors
