Other teams melting about Kiffin is sad. Ole Miss I get, but the rest of the sec shouldn’t care

None of our championship winning coaches had won a championship prior to coaching at LSU. It’s pretty rare actually to have a championship winning coach take another job I’d imagine.

Thanks man. It means a lot. To think, LSU is getting someone, who like Kirby, was instrumental in multiple championships. Like Kirby, I am sure with the right team and resources, he will be successful even though he never has been a HC in one.

Were these coaches you speak of also given offers to make them the highest paid coach in college football history?

How many had O won as a head coach when we hired him? LSU brings the championship pedigree to its coaches. Except for BK. He just sucked too much.

C'mon now. That has zero to do with what was brought forth in the OP. Stick to the topic

Kirby had never been a head coach before. So he was hired on potential. Plus, he was an alum of the school.

Kiffin?

Head coach at USC and Tennessee. Both programs that had the resources to win championships.

He failed in spectacular fashion at each school.

So again - congrats.

Need I remind you that the greatest season in modern college football had a coach who was a total failure at his first HC gig.

Again, thank you.

But why are you melting? That doesn't make sense.

Someone criticizes a head coaching hire = melting.

Okay - guess again who is melting.
