Simpson doesn’t have time to throw - and can’t hit receivers when he does - or, receivers drop it. Sustain a drive and give the defense a breather.

Has he ever utilized a 3 step drop? In his mind only 5-7 step drops are the norm, while defenses bring the kitchen sink, and we’re trying to complete passes 40 yds downfield.

Those are getting covered because teams don’t fear the downfield pass. We threw several tonight and guys got hit immediately as the ball got there.
