6A is going to look a lot different next season. Shiloh Christian is moving up to 7A and Greenwood is moving down to 5A. It's going to be wide open now.

Impressive win for Shiloh considering they needed help from the zebras to hold off El Dorado last week.
Not an EHS fan but know several coaches and players so I was watching. It was pretty rough.
Conway going down is a surprise too and well as Fordyce over Mayflower. Gotta love the playoffs!

Greenwood moving down to 5a is insane. They’ll drum everyone they play the division won’t even be fun to watch.

Warren I thought was a little down this year but you can never count out the lumberjacks. I thought Hamburg had a Chance to make a run really liked watching their running back. That kid is good enough to play d1 somewhere. Surprised La tech hasn’t looked at him. They’ve had success cherry picking south east Arkansas talent.

Stuttgart vs Warren rematch is going to be a good one.

Cain Price is an underrated JR. QB in this state.

But the AAA for years has only focused on private schools and trying to keep them from winning multiple state titles in football…yet here we are actually moving Greenwood down a class. Geesh.

They have a new competitive equity resolution going around. Not sure if it’ll help but it’s aimed at bumping non-competitive schools down a class if they meet a certain criteria. Consecutive losing seasons or conference records, so many years without a playoff appearance., etc….
I know our district sure could benefit from it in Football. Last couple of years have been extremely hard. Hit a down cycle of talent and bumped from AA to AAA at the same time. Not a good combination. It needs to pass worse than the private school multiplier did.

Believe me, the rest of 6A is happy to see them go. I think they've won 76 or 77 in a row. We won't miss Shiloh either. I heard speculation that Greenbrier may be moving up to 6A.

6A will be wide open next season.

not sure there’s a classification low enough to help two rivers

I’m out of state now…but that is crazy to me. Shiloh hasn’t won a state title in football since 2020 and only two titles in the last 15 years but they’re now bumped to 7A?

Rogers had a 14 point lead late in the fourth quarter.

Here in Oklahoma the privates got together and sued the OSSAA (that’s like the AAA in Ark) and won. Basically they said the privates could not be treated differently than the public’s bases on winning. The example they used was Bixby’s run the last 20 years in 6AD2 and 6AD1. As well as Wagoner the last 15 or so years in 4A.

It makes sense to me anyway. Privates do have an advantage, but so do powerhouse football programs that are public. The amount of people moving their kids into school districts now with the school choice law has been crazy. Tulsa Union has been pretty mediocre. Owasso and Bixby have benefited the most the past few years from the school choice. Bixby & Owasso will play for the 6AD1 title coming up. Jenks is still appealing, but it’s been taken over by Bixby.

Rogers coach with the questionable 4th down pass instead of punting.

Sure if it would have been completed the game would have been over, but damn..
