I know there are other teams who play tough non-conference slates, but Bama's last 4 games are top notch.

#5 St John's
#2 Purdue
#8 Illinois
#12 Gonzaga

Nice win for Auburn last night.

MS State was lucky to beat UNO, Privateers had them on the ropes.

UNO is really good team this year and will make the NCAA tournament and make it passed the first round. They are that good so that was actually a good win for MSU.

I just saw this stat for those Bama fans who are upset with the loss to Gonzaga last night. This season Gonzaga is 6-0, has outscored its foes by 191 points & has 2 wins over AP Top 25 opponents.

The last Division I team with a +190 or better scoring margin & multiple ranked wins over its first 6 games was the 1998-99 UConn squad that went on to win the national title.

Only slightly frustrated by how poorly we played. First time this year we’ve just not been real good. But Gonzaga is great, and frankly probably lucky it was back and forth until the last 5 minutes.

A midnight EST game tonight. Hopefully I wake up tomorrow and the score notification is good because I ain’t making it to the first TV timeout of that (nor am I trying).

SEC is no where close to what it was last year. I always hear good things about Texas in the preseason and they always disappoint me. I feel like Texas used to always have a solid team before they made the change to the SEC.

Well, last year was probably the best, top of bottom, the SEC has ever been. It's still early and some teams, like Auburn, are working to find identities. We'll be fine.

Last year the SEC was the best performance by a conference in modern history. Safe to say we aren't going to repeat it. But we still want to win as many of these as we can for tournament seeding purposes. It makes all the conference games count more.

The top 4 kings for players era sure is confusing.

These teams have the possibility of making the top 4 (championship and third place) pending today’s results as far as I know.

Iowa St (2-0)
Kansas (2-0)
Houston (pending today)
Tennessee (pending today)
Maryland (pending today)
Auburn (pending today)
Michigan (pending today)
Gonzaga (pending today)

Michigan and Tennessee are in the best shape if they win today considering by how much they won the first game.

I am not pumping up the SEC, I am talking about last year, and you are going to have to include a slew of media members who were constantly writing about what an extraordinary year it was for the SEC. It wasn't just Sankey.

This year not so much.
