This is stupid watching these games with 40-50 point victories against small teams no one cares about right in the middle of the final stretch of the season.

These blowouts against Mercer, eastern Illinois, Arkansas and Kentucky is ridiculous and no fun to watch.

I enjoyed watching Alabama play today. I got to see players I haven't been able to see play all year. A glimpse into the future.
And I was very happy with how well our 2nd and 3rd string players performed. I think the future is looking bright.

You just stole my thunder because I was about to bring up that these games are about getting some young players some playing time. It also lets some older players that do not play that often see the field and reward them for hanging in there. Some of those Sr players will never get anymore playing time so it lets them see the field in their swan songs not only with the university but their playing careers.

The Mercers and Samfords of the world need the money. These rent-a-win games are the only thing keeping some of these small programs solvent.
