Seems like everyone here has anointed Russell as the qb in waiting. What have yall seen that says Mack shouldn't be the starting qb next year? Is it just primarily Russell's ranking coming out of school?

Mack has looked pretty good, I dont recall a bad pass or decision anytime he's been on the field. He has a strong arm and makes quick decisions.

Im not a Russell hater and he does remind me of Bryce. Mack seems to have a lively arm, maybe more so than Russell.

I think Mack has looked good, it's just that, in IMO, Keelon has a higher ceiling based on what we have on tape so far (which, admittedly, is mostly HS film).

He did look sharp. I’d like to see him against stiffer competition.

Same here...if neither qb gets more reps we'll be back where are now next year. Qbs with no experience.

Because they don't want the potential to transfer.

There is only one transfer window right? That's in early January. If Simpson goes pro, we'll have both in 26 if they both stay to compete for the starting job. Correct?

Let's say (for the sake of argument) they are equally talented. Would you rather have a solid QB for one year or two years? I know my choice.

And if you think Keelon is a better QB, then...

I have boosted Mack here for months, ate a lot of downvotes for it.

IMO Mack has the potential to be an exceptional quarterback.

Russell has the potential to be a generational talent that people will write books about down the road.

It's unfortunate but you are probably only keeping one. Think you have to roll with Russell
