Coming to Norman tomorrow and am looking for some dinner recommendations.

Not looking for bar food or marathon upscale, but would like to try a few Norman traditional spots that have good food. Preferably a place to have a conversation so not too loud. Hit me with don't miss spots in Norman.

I will not hold my breath for serious responses, but have faith in humankind that I will get a couple?

I can't speak to Norman itself, but one must stop at a Braum's while in Oklahoma.

The Boomerang Diner is another Oklahoma tradition.

Im an LSU fan but have lived just outside of Norman for about 15 yrs and I can few pretty good places as sit down resturants go:

1. Pizza: Hideways
2. Brick Oven Pizza and great burnt ends: Pryors Pizza (On Outskirts of Norman off of Riverwind Casino and head chef is a huge Georgia fan)
3. SportsBar: Louie's, LandRun Grill, or O'Connell Irish Pub
4. Hamburger: Garage Burger(and its a pretty good sports bar)
5. MEXICAN:
Tarahumara's Méxican Cafe & Cantina

There are many other places obviously but we go to these regularly and they are pretty good but and if you want a much bigger selection then you would have to drive to OKC

Most of these recommendations are pretty good.

I'd add The Standard if you have kids with you or a large party in general. Food is pretty good, tons of tvs, and lots of beers to choose from.

The Mont is also a Norman staple, but that's mostly for their drinks, their food is not what I would recommend.

Volare on campus corner has good pizza. If you sit on the rooftop, you get a great view of campus corner and the stadium.

If you get into town well before 6 you can also try Midway Deli. It's a sandwich place just a little north of campus in the heart of a neighborhood. Barry Switzer frequents there depending on the time of day.
