Why aren't the old heads going to basketball games?

Why would they?

Spend 5 to 10k a year, get 4 or 5 games out of it? That's a steal to someone with a 7 figure net worth (even better if its a writeoff)

Look. Reselling for 31 dollars a seat on a Wednesday night takes more time than the return is worth for them..

Simple way to fix it is - if you don’t scan your tickets 50% or the time, you don’t get season tickets in the future.

Yes it will cost us money short term. No I don’t care

Everyone is really concerned about this, I’d take it more serious if it was a marque game on a Saturday or in January/February.

I had a great run, including Heath, Pelphrey, and Anderson. Now I have a bigger TV, better beer, and little reason to be out after dark. The question is, where are the new heads?

And I don't mean 30y/o goobs sitting with the students.

You answered your own question.

When I was growing up, a lot of the time I either had to listen to the game on the radio or go see it in person. There was no in between. That's not the case anymore. I can watch every single Razorback game in almost any sport from my recliner in Wisconsin. Folks prioritize the comfort and affordability these days...and understandably so.

Indeed. Sounds like old people priorities, though, lacking the vigor and recklessness of youth. Not that I begrudge their wisdom.

Another reason I had for going was to take a kid. The boy for most games, but the girl for some, especially around Christmas.

I'll shift the blame to Texas kids.

It’s all the stuff plus weed over booze. Booze was/is a social thing. Weed is a sitting at home thing. Reason why Gen Z is the smallest generations. Everyone’s been lied to about weed out benefiting booze.

So small generation, less active because they are stoned/medicated. We built cathedrals in stadiums for boozed up mongoloids. Now we build cathedrals for sitting at home and watching HD tv with cheaper snacks and endless bathroom breaks.

That's no excuse. Kids don't have prostates the size of grapefruits.

Those glittering generalities remind me obnoxious ribbon boards.

Nah but being able to take a shite in a non public place is way better.
