as a 2 loss team or even as a 3 loss (with loss in sec title game).
They have more ranked wins and a road win at UGA
If that's not good enough then the SEC is wasting it's time going to a 9 game conference schedule

If they lose to Auburn, it’s gonna be tough to get them in.

Whats the point of this post? They are currently in, if they lose to Auburn they do not deserve to be in
Bama would be a dog in their game if the playoffs started with yesterdays rankings

The point is Bama could win out and lose to A&M in the SECCG and be knocked out of the Playoff so some ACC or Big 12 scrub can jump them. The Committee should have dropped them to about 8 but dropping them to 10 puts them on the edge with no margin for mistakes. So they could easily be penalized for making the SECCG, if they beat Auburn and didn't then they would be in.

No 3 loss team should ever be in a playoff. Ever.

They are not going to knock Alabama out of the playoffs if they lose the conference champ game. They didnt do it to SMU last year, they certainly wont with the gumps
Alabama is ranked exactly where they would be in the BCS, its a fair ranking for a 2 loss team

We really need to do away with the SECCG if Notre Dame is allowed to do this.
Literally every season, one of the best teams in the country will lose this game.
It's an absolute joke, and SOS isn't even considered, so why do we still play it?

they will undoubtedly 10000% be in with 2 losses, so no worries there.
If htey have 3 losses, they do not deserve to go to the playoffs. Do I think they would be better than the vast majority of teams taking their place? without question. No brainer. But it's about your resume...it's why we play the games. You can't play 13 games and lose 3 of them and then still expect to just be handed a chance to be national champion.

I'm sure you would have said the same thing about a 2 loss team in the BCS championship, but we saw a 2 loss team win it all.

Outside of the conferences where there are typically only two elite teams (Big 10), I think we're going to have to get used to multiple losses in the NIL era.
The NFL hasn't had an undefeated team in 53 years.
In 2021, the Bengals made the Super Bowl at 10–6, and lost by a FG.
Like it or not, parity is going to create more head-scratching losses.

2025 Bama is a reason FOR the 9 game SEC schedule.
Because of the 8 game format, A&M is able to avoid the entire upper half of the SEC standings.

We should not be in if we lose to Auburn, period..

Bama fans need to be fully against the current CFP process and lack of transparency especially regarding SoS. They need to be fully against ESPN and their control of the SEC. They need to be fully against Sankey continuing to have a job.
For these reasons hopefully they get screwed and it opens their eyes so we can all band together and force changes

When asked that exact question about how CCG would impact the Chairman said that they would use it as an additional data point. That means if Bama loses, especially if they lost by say 10 or 14 points, they are screwed. They are already at 10 so they have no margin for error and that would make them the only 3 loss team in contention. SMU was ranked higher when they lost last year so they had more room to fall.
Maybe Bama gets in but it is far from a sure thing with a loss to A&M in the CCG based on what was said.

As much as I hate the term "eye-test" because it was invented by ESPN for Alabama to justify a rematch with LSU....
"This is an Eye-Test Committee and not a Resume Committee"
And Notre Dame passes the eye-test compared to Alabama.
Funny how Bama is now getting burned by what they once lobbied and profited from.

It's a stupid system that these teams are even being considered with 2 and 3 losses.
If 3 loss Alabama gets into the playoffs, then what? We lose to some team because we're a 3 loss team who has no business playing for a NC.
And if we do get left out, I'm sure it'll be arguments yet again about how some other team that has no business playing for a NC is getting in because of something like AQ or lack of SoS or whatever.
But it's all just stupid that we are even talking about it. It's too many fricking teams, they are turning it into the NFL.

I thought it was the fact that both Alabama and LSU were beating teams by 30-40 points all year except when they played each other.
And in that first game, Alabama's FG kicker went 2-4. The difference between it and the rematch was mostly that Alabama's kicker went 5-5 and we scored the only TD between the 2 teams.
Alabama and LSU were clearly a level ahead of the rest of college football. And yet despite that, Oklahoma St was STILL going to be the team to play LSU in the NCG until they lost to a 5 win Iowa St team. Iowa St was bowl eligible after as a result of their win.
