Quinn Ewers was supposed to be the guy. While servicable, he never lived up to the billing.

Then you have Arch.

Of course, Sark could be fine, and it's just the Texas fans.

Reality is both were overhyped.

Quinn struggled with injuries and Arch simply is not as good as everyone was claiming (seemed pretty obvious to non-Texas fans).

Sark is fine. It's the hype machine that always elevates their players far above their competency. horn fans revel in the hype and ALWAYS set themselves up for failure.

Sark is good enough but due to money and politics he doesn’t have the power to bench Arch.

I don’t even care about that anymore. I’m ready to just burn the fricking thing to the ground and rebuild it with him far away from the program.
It’s not gonna happen. that’s just how I feel

No, he’s not, but I totally understand why other SEC fans would encourage us to keep him. It reminds me of the days when we were cheering for the Aggies to keep RC Slocum.

Sark leading the Texas program is a very good thing for the rest of the SEC.

Sark took yall to the CFP 2 years in a row. Yall miss one year and he is shite? Doesn't that seem a little overzealous? Who would you realistically replace him with?

This again. This is not new for me. I’ve known this guy was a fraud for three years now. Oh he’s fine when we play teams with less talent, but as soon as we play an elite level coach, he shits his pants.
0-3 vs kirby
0-2 vs Day
0-2 vs Deboer

He occasionally wins big games but he will never be able to string three or four games together to give us any hope for national championship.

You like him? Feel free to take him.

Anyone who watched him play high school ball tried to tell y'all. Sark likely got rail roaded into taking him by the same oil money idiots who have been fricking things up at Texas for years. Just donate your money and get the hell out of the way. But they never will.

I get it. Definitely not claiming he is ELITE. But who would you replace him with, knowing you wouldn't get any of the names you listed.

They don’t have the access they did when Mack was here. We just simply have the wrong coach. Eventually enough people will figure that out and we can try again with someone else.

The problem is Arch will end up being just fine, which will make him unbenchable. He may stay two more years, which will hurt recruitment of a QB with a better upside.

The best they can hope for is he says he's going to the NFL after next year and they can bring in a quality transfer or freshman

100%. Arch will be good enough (not great), hard not to be with the level of talent around him. Sark is in a tough spot.

Yeah, I get that and it’s a fair question. Here’s the way I look at it. If you know, he’s not the guy that can win a national championship then why tread water with the guy several more years? Are we just gonna be content beating a lot of average teams and never really having a shot at winning at all or do we really want to build that kind of program?
If national championships are truly the goal, then we have to keep trying until we find the guy or die trying. Sark isn’t that guy. that could not be more clear at this point.
One of the reasons I’m hoping you guys win a national championship is because of the pressure it’s going to put on our athletic department to fix this shite.
As to the other part of your comment, I don’t want to go after any big names. that shite rarely works. We need to go find a young innovative and aggressive coach with SEC ties. That’s just my opinion of course but we need an SEC guy in a big way. This conference is a different animal and you have to have a coach that has the right mentality for it. Sark is too soft

Ahh gotcha, fair point and makes total sense. FWIW, that has been the same mindset I have had for Ags for years, especially when it was painfully obvious Sumlin and Jimbo weren't gonna get it done.

Yeah, well, why did all of the big-time coaches recruit him?

I just think he’s a 7 win average head coach.

Rebuild what? You guys have a lot of good players. Probably replace the HC and get a QB coach though.
