Yes - the simple thing if you aren't leaving is to sign the extension and say you aren't leaving. That would be respectful to the players as he alludes to.

That may be truth. But tell me a true,y good leader that doesn’t think they are the greatest. I’ve seen these types all my life. I think how he handles this is shite. He screwed himself with how he handled 2022. Lost Durkin and Lebby because he was playing poker by himself.
The funny thing is the results won’t change anywhere he goes. He will always be a game short of a trophy. That is fine at Ole Miss. where his family has dug in and he is loved. 10 win seasons mean nothing at LSU or Florida unless they win the conference or NT. Freeze failed after leaving Ole Miss and Lane might as well. The world has changed. A stadium full of jean shorts doesn’t equal wins anymore. Money in NIL does.
