Terrible stat.
This stat treats playing the #1 team as being equal to playing the #40 team, when there are huge differences in their strength.
A&M still has the weakest in the SEC as of this week.
Don't know why you guys are so butt hurt about it, still top30 in the country and not like it matters. Deal with it.

All this means is that you play in the SEC. 14 of 16 teams SEC teams are ranked 40 or higher. Arkansas and Mississippi State are 46 and 47.

11 of the 16 SEC teams, including Texas, are not on that list, so very obviously it is not true that "all this means is that you play in the SEC."

You haven’t faced the schedule most sec teams have though … it’s not the top 4-6 teams it’s your whole schedule …. OU is going to play 5 of the top 8 sec teams ….: others are worse . Bama plays a lot vs the top also …. A@M is going to play one team in the top 8 of the sec…. It’s not a great schedule …. Your sos is inflated because of ND

Despite A&M's dogshit SEC schedule vs. 7 of the 8 bottom teams, you've stacked "top 40 Sagarin" wins because 14 of 16 SEC teams are top 40.
If A&M played in e.g. B1G with a similarly dogshit schedule, where only 10 of 18 teams are in the top 40, you wouldn't be listed in the tweet, just like Oregon isn't.
So yes, this just means you play in the SEC.
