during a press conference he was asked who on the Falcons he can lean or or go over things with. He basically said, from a football standpoint no one on the Falcons does and it’s old coaches he has that reach out with advice and pointers.

Pretty damning for the Falcons staff. Pretty cool for our staff.

Yea that sounds about right. Zac Robinson is a steaming pile of garbage.

However, Mike needs to give Grubb and DeBoer more calls because he hasn't been much better.

I said it when we were chasing Grubb, I said it when we hired DeBoer and I said it when the offense didn’t work due to QB last year: DeBoer + Grubb is the best offensive combo in CFB.

Their Penix offense at UW was borderline Art similar to our 2020 team with Sark/Mac/Smitty/Najee.

Really hoping Grubb stays long term. He will have HC offers at some level, but he’s such a no nonsense salty dog that I can’t imagine him bullshitting with boosters. Recently we’ve seen lots of G5 or lower level HC choose to be coordinators at big schools.

I think this staff is tight and if we can keep them together for several years that will bode well as our rivals pay a bajillion dollars to people not to coach.

Not in the 2nd half.

Next you’re gonna tell me that the Falcons signed a solid veteran qb to a 40 million dollar a year contract, drafted Penix, didn’t even tell the veteran that they were scouting qbs, and now have the veteran riding the bench cashing checks while they ruin the young gun

Go look at what they did before they got here then watch the film on our OL.

You can’t compare what we have this year to elite rosters like we had peak saban.

-Our OL is bottom half of the league at best
-Our RB group is bottom half of the league at best
-Our WR group is banged up and has frankly not performed at an high level the last few games

From what I’m seeing week to week the only difference between 8-1 and where LSU or AU are at is Ty Simpson and a really, really good offensive system.

No love for the defensive side of the ball?

As a Falcons fan it’s infuriating. They have a near loaded roster and yet they have to overcome incompetent coaching to occasionally get a win.

Our defense has been lights out down the stretch, tons of respect for the scheme changes and player effort this year.

But LSU pre injury to Weeks and AU both have elite defenses despite being left on the field to die.

FEI Defense:
8) Bama
9) AU
13) LSU
