Will cause no one with any real high ability to sign a contract with them moving forward? Being cheap probably just put a stink on that job no one will touch for the foreseeable future…

No, because no one things more highly of lsu... than a lsu fan. Outside of the state of louisiana, lsu is not as big of job as they think it is . Mddiocre team, horrible fan base who screams fire the coach after every loss and leaves stadium in 3rd qtr. Horrible front office, what other teams has a governor putting his 2 cents in. Just a sinking ship. Saban made lsu a house name. Since then, outside of a fluke 2019, they have been mediocre at best. Changing coaches every 3/4 years no one outside of that state thinks its a top job. They will end up with some coordinator, or a G5 coach.
