yes our OC is that bad and predictable. Drink clearly has no idea how to find and hire a decent one

I think this is only going to get worse with machine learning and processing game film

I think similar things are happening with Alabama on our run plays. I wonder if we are tipping them somehow or if the play call is just that obvious because when we run it just really feels like defenses are keyed in on it.

And with Oklahoma coming up, that's a recipe for disaster.

Maybe our lineman just suck that bad. I've seen some bad O Lines in the past, but never this bad.

Can't argue there. Ours is somewhat decent in pass blocking as long as the other team doesn't have stud speed rushers around the edge.

A freshman QB’s first start against a DL that’s been generating pressure most of the year. The safest thing to do is run the ball. Then let the defense settle in on stopping the run.

There isn’t any conspiracy theory here. It’s just Mizzou had 60% of their playbook to work with. Granted if their QB didn’t throw heaters every time, the score could have looked different.

I think A&M went in with that strategy. Stop the run and throw in a blitz in obvious passing situations. Make Zollers beat you.

Which he could not do even in his wettest dream.

A lot of our better runs have been off misdirection; we've hardly seen any of them in the past few games, just this Darby up the Middle shite.

Mizzou has the worst quarterback I’ve seen this century. Anyone could have called those defensive plays

What was surprising is kid has been occasionally getting reps with 1's since QB1 went down at the beginning of the season. So, essentially QB2 with not a lot of action.
Just think he was incredibly psyched up and was throwing 100 mph fastballs that receivers were not used to. He's a freshman....give him time and I think Missou will benefit.
You can't "coach" arm strength and this kid has it in spades.

I don’t understand why the onus is on your opponent to account for your failure to protect your signals. If you can’t come up with a scheme that doesn’t allow your opponent to know what you’re calling, you deserve what you get.

Maybe it's on us for getting gashed by the same running play over and over again.

Give the kid a break. He is the third string quarterback…thrown against one of the top experienced defensive lines and defensive coaches in the country in a late season game. I wouldn’t call him the worst qb. Mizzou got beat in all three phases of the game, and was out coached, don’t blame a young kid.

If you just yell "outside zone to the boundary", you'll be correct half the time.

You’re on your third string quarterback. It couldn’t have been too complex.
