We have a good opportunity to get that number lower against Oklahoma is we play better offensively.

1 Alabama 18.3
2 Texas A&M 20.0
3 Oklahoma 21.6
4 Auburn 23.1
5 Texas 23.4
6 Georgia 23.6
7 Missouri 23.8
7 Vanderbilt 23.8
9 LSU 24.0
10 South Carolina 25.4
11 Kentucky 26.0
12 Florida 26.3
13 Ole Miss 26.7
14 Tennessee 35.5
15 Mississippi State 36.0
16 Arkansas 38.2

It’s a bend don’t break, force turnovers, defense.

It works but after 17 years of Saban just shutting everything down it’s still taking some getting used to for me

I mean we basically shut LSU down. We have played better each week defensively. Our run defense is improving drastically.

You're forgetting the Pete Golding era.

Our defense under Saban fell off significantly once we hired Pete.

We gave up 52 points to Tennessee in 2022.

Bama hasn’t shut everything down since 2017. Golding rarely shut any team down.

these past 2 seasons Alabama has had better scoring defense than any year since 2017. How many times have we seen the board geniuses calling for wommack to be fired in the last 2 years?

Defense is playing great. Whole point is to keep the other team off the scoreboard, and we are proving to be very adept at that so far.

Last night was a weird night, we had Keenan bump tackle someone for an 8 yard gain. Then we casue a fumble and they also get a 8 yard gain out of it.

Then conversely they had 2 of the weirdest run into sacks I've ever seen.

I was not on the Wommack wagon entering the season but he's won me over, but we need to be honest about that stat - the game now has fewer possessions because of clock rules and therefore scoring is artificially down because of that. The number of plays and drives is down from what it was throughout the Saban era.

Wommack's Defense has carried the team of late. Glad to see improvement...hope it continues. We'll be tough if we're ever firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball.
