Anyway haven't kept up minus the crootin news. Can't find the game free anywhere i usually do. Checked espn scoreboard couple times. Went from mizzou 36 semo 29 to semo 42 mizzou 39.

Seems like defense is optional this year. I also know rotation may be thin but due to injuries?

I know Burnes coming back from injury but dont know why Pierce and Boateng are out especially since Boateng was balling in preseason

Losing by 5 at halftime.

Defense is always optional under HCDG.

but due to injuries?

Mysterious injuries that drag out throughout the season are also a staple of HCDG basketball.

Assuming all ia true then why the emphasis on getting three new bigs via the portal. If you philophy is to score 100 before the opponent does goes get me some ballers

I’d argue Drink has a better understanding of his sport than gates does is.

IDK what Gates sees in Crews. He moves like a baby giraffe on defense.

Crews is a 6'8" - Marshall Henderson clone

As likely to make 8-10 threes as he is to make 1-10 threes but he'll still take all 10 shots if he gets an opening.

At the GA warm ups last year, my son and I watched him hit 15 straight catch/shoot triples from all over the floor ...

But yes, he is only useful on defense in zone and even then he is a liability.

Which when Gates ran that against Howard, with our size advantage, their offense completely shutdown ...

Didn't watch but last 5 minutes of the game last night, but did we run 3-2/2-3/1-3-1 zone at all last night? It seems like Gates loves man-to-man defense which he doesn't coach up very well and very limited zone ...

With our size, we should follow the Boeheim (Syracuse Orange) model of zone until the other teams prove they can beat it.

However, head coach Dennis Gates said the team will be without forwards Trent Pierce, Annor Boateng and Trent Burns for the second game in a row, all three dealing with lower-body injuries.
