Of course the year we fire fat Sam, Auburn, LSU, and Florida are looking for coaches. Should have fired him last season or even the year before. We will be left making a dud hire. Rinse, wash, repeat.

I hate it here, this football program is dead.
At least basketball starts tonight.

The all more reason to stick with BMFP. Give him a two year deal and let him bring his people in to see if he can turn it around. It didn't help that we had probably the hardest schedule we've ever had in this conference this year.

Give Bobby a smaller contract with retention annd incentives. Tell boosters if they fully fund him and it isn’t working after year 3 we can let him go and lose no money.

Require them to fully fund a good NIL team and elite DC.

Makes his contract back loaded.

$6-7m base.
$200k for every win over 7. Fully would give a $1m bonus for regular season.
$500k for sec championship appearance.
$500k for ny6 appearance.
$1m for playoff appearance and each win.
$5m for a national championship.

That puts you all in for an undefeated Bobby season at $13-15.

Give him a $2m bonus if you extend him after 3 years, with no buyout if you don’t extend him, and you can let him go no loss after 3 years.

Then take what you aren’t paying him up front dump into a DC and NIL.

Then when Lane Kiffin gets fired by the Giants in 3 years, Florida and LSU will still be stuck with their coaches.

How about you not be a retarded count.
All you do is come on here and post laughing emojis and say things are stupid, you have no original ideas. Straight useless person. You are the person who goes to a game in the other teams gear and is mad when you get made fun of. You provide nothing. I hope you paint the ceiling.

How can we justify keeping BP at this point? Hasn't won over the team? He hasn't been able to fix the issues.
We are staring down a 2 win season right in the face.... to hire that guy is just flat lazy.
I was as big of a BP fan as there was last time around... glad he came back and made amends.... wouldn't be opposed to him staying in some capacity.... but his style won't fly now.... DJ said it himself... they won out of fear.... kids now will just hit the portal.
Not the same climate in college football

None of this makes sense to me. The offense since BP has been HC has taken off to be even better, the Defense sucks boar titts.

If he can simply have a top 60 defense, we are sitting at 2 losses max right now. Even without the NIL support, or a better assembly of coaches. The players are playing harder than they have all season as well. Our D is just atrocious.

NOPE! It’s the offenses fault for not scoring 1 more point! Can’t be the defense fault for not getting one fricking stand when the other team decides to go for it on 4th and long.

Rev, you're a buddy and I'd bail you out of jail if you needed it. But y'all's fixation on Bobby P when he keeps stepping on his pecker is concerning. This is not the Petrino from 15 years ago.

I know you guys like him. I know you want to forgive him for destroying his career the first time around here. But the results are not there.

I just don’t believe anyone actually watches a full game. They go to bathroom breaks during defense times. Just watching the high lights and seeing fumbles or drops. Not the 7 missed tackles on one play.

Go and listen to DJ and Grant Cook discuss this.

Fear and intimidation is what made BP great. That style doesn't play anymore when the first time you hurt little Johnny's feelings he hits the portal.

Now... I will say....BP or Dabo..... give me BP all day long.

Just like everyone is forgiving Franklin’s decades of trash play against ranked teams?

They aren’t leaving because they are getting paid. Do contracts like Texas Tech is offering where if you stay and performed the previous year you get more money.

I want the team to make a bowl game right now. I'll build from there. Petrino isn't just losing to top teams. He's losing to programs that were bottom feeders... until they played us.

Also I'm not really a Franklin guy. I'm just saying Petrino had two fantastic opportunities to beat teams we should have beaten and shite the bed both times as HC. He's dead Jim.

Michigan and Ohio State have been good because they have had year over year cohesion. No one is picking off their 2-3 deep, yet. If we want that, which is when we’ve always been best, we need to offer contracts that give retention bonus not just for coaches but players. Hell make it to where the coach gets a bonus if you have less than 10 people who voluntarily hit the portal.

Lemme get this straight, you would rather have a coach who in the last 20 years has never won a playoff game over a coach who has been the head coach in 4 national title games winning 2 of them?

I just want to make sure I understand that correctly. Forget the name look at the resume

Definitely all his fault, he had a full off season to get coaches in place, get the defense right, etc..

Good guy Sam doesn’t need one iota of blame. All he did was not fire a trash defensive coordinator or bring in lineman or anyone that could tackle, since it was his team.

To a degree, but he’s still an elite level play caller. We can’t execute consistently but his play calling/ designing is still elite IMO.

Question if he’s the HC, how much NIL does the defense get. And does that cause issues with the staff internally. Personally I’d remove QB from the NIL pool and split it 50/50 from there.

Aside from comp I’d want some specifics on NIL guarantees if I were a DC.

Over a coach who said I’d rather quit than pay players? Then he refused to use the portal until this year? Yes I would rather do that.

Almost like there is a league we could model our payments off of that has been doing this for 60+ years.
