Arch Manning is showing his talent and playing well. Texas has two weeks to prepare for another loss between the hedges in Athens.

I hope we get the Kentucky version of Arch and not the Vanderbilt version. Kentucky sacked him three times, Vandy zero. If we have a blitz package that hasn't been used yet, Texas game would be a good time to unveil it.

Manning remembered how to play in the fourth quarter of the Mississippi State game. Suddenly 38-54 for 450 yards and 5 TDs in his last 5 quarters.

Texas was down 31-14 to Miss State in the fourth quarter. Would've been their 3rd loss and they wouldn't have had shite to play for after that.

Oh well.

I truly don't know what to make of our lack of a pass rush this season.

Pass rush was better yesterday I thought.

We had two players standing up on the line of scrimmage for the first two drives like traditional outside linebackers. That helped. Usually we play 80 whatever percent of snaps with only one player standing up on the line of scrimmage and acting like an OLB.

We getting rush but it's coming from up the middle. The outside backers are not getting pressure we are accustomed too. It's not gonna change. We are who we are at this point. We had a lot of turnover at that position and we have talent for the young guys, but transfers like Elo haven't produced.

A lot of it has to do with how fast the QBs are getting the ball out. When they hold onto it longer, we are getting close, like this past weekend. However, we don't have the horses we use to.

Watching the guy(s) in pursuit shoot past the QB and just reach out to touch the QB's shoulder is maddening.

I know Jordan Davis isn't suiting up in red & black anymore, but these guys need to get quicker.

He played well against MissSt and at home against a meh Vandy defense. Neither of those offenses can move the ball like UGA.

They’re not going to be the pushover they looked like earlier in the season, but he’s not played well on the road against teams of UGAs caliber.

Just what we needed - Texas to be finally clicking on all cylinders coming to Athens.

It's not an easy year to tell how a team will look from one game to the next. Texas has been outgained by every SEC road opponent, could've easily lost all three of those games against Florida, Kentucky and Miss St. The game against Vandy may not mean they've put it all together. I wish they didn't have a bye because I don't think Georgia's put it all together yet either.

I'm not comfortable about going to Starkville this weekend either. Other than TAMU at Kyle Field, all of their SEC games have been dogfights.
