Truth is if they can fix offense and keep D recruits/players they could be good next year really fast. They are what OU was last year and without any offense their defense wears down. Fix O and D will be top 10.

Whoever gets job has way less to fix than most programs.

They’re an OL and QB short right now.

With even average to quality play at those spots Auburn wins 8-9 games this year.

Yup, and that should make it a desirable program for potential coaches.

We also love to give buyouts, so really what is there to lose?

Auburn is a top 15-20 job when it’s stable. It just hasn’t been stable due to leadership, booster meddling and continually being expected to compete with a Saban era Bama dynasty.

Fired the man on Sunday while he was no doubt in the middle of teaching Sunday school.

Durkin gets a chance to finish strong and get the job.

If he beats Vandy and/or Bama, I could see it.
