Lane took them to their first ever 10 win season and they are a lock for the playoff.

Negative

Still Johnny Vaught. He’s second though. Just above Billy Dawg Brewer

I am curious, at what point, if ever, does he surpass Vaught? What would you need to see from Kiffin?

A natty or playing for one multiple times. That’s what Vaught has.

Along with multiple SEC titles

According to the NCAA website, won our only national title in 1960 and multiple SEC titles

Did you finish number 1 in the AP or coaches poll that year?

Weren’t the only recognized national titles at the time.

That may happen sooner than later. I was very open I wanted him at AU and I think as long as he is at Ole Miss you will be in the conversation for the playoffs each November.

Yes they were. The NCAA has never had the authority to recognize national championships in football.

The FWAA disagrees

What makes the AP and Coaches Poll the authorities in 1960?

Have you ever seen the initials NCAA carved into the National championship football trophy? That’s because the NCAA has never given such a trophy. Ole Miss’ 1960 national championship is as fraudulent as all the nattys Auburn claimed this year.

No, Vaught was one of the greatest coaches in SEC history, let alone OM history.
