Vol fans say he is a lock up here. They can't see Big O letting this guy get away. The one common refrain on the Sports Animal up here in Knoxville is what recruit in his right mind would consider Auburn over Tennessee. They can't comprehend it.

If he was a lock to anywhere we wouldn't be here after signing day wondering where he is going.

They feel pretty confident, Ross now that they have this all-star recruiting cast up here.

Has something changed since Wednesday? I would stay away from knoxville these days.

AJC article: seems destined for Auburn, sources have told govolsxtra.com.

Do they operate under the assumption that kids like to get their arse kicked these days?

With the fearless Kiffin at the helm, they feel a NC is just around the corner. It's really just a matter of time once the recruiting machine kicks into gear and Monte gets his Orange Swarm on the field.

More like it's a matter of time before the Kiffins get run out of Knoxville on a rail.

That's ironic.

Anyway, the consensus is not that Tennessee is so much better than Auburn, the thing is they can't comprehend why Oku would go to a school where they have already signed 4 running backs.

We'll see. I don't really have a feel for it.

Yeah, I am not really saying AU is a lot better than UT. The schools are probably pretty similair where they are right now. I really like our offense and coaches right now though. If Oku has the talent (which I think he does), he will compete well against the backs we are bringing in and we are wide open and in need of running backs big time after this year. Lester is gone. Fannin and Tate are gone after this year and we badly need some talented backs to step in. We are going to be counting on someone stepping up this year too as we have to have someone to step in this year with tate and fannin as fannin will still likely be used in the slot.

Now that you mention it. Maybe Oku will go to Tenn.

We already have about 34 running backs on the roster already. Wish we could trade some for an OT.

Yea, I've also heard that Oku is wanting to see whether Bryce Brown ends up at Tennessee.

So neither of these 2 have committed?I don't understand the wait. For all we know they both may suck.Highly doubtful, but maybe.

I expect UT to get one of these guys, especially since we haven't signed a RB yet in this year's class (signed a FB but no RB yet)

That said, who knows which one it might be.

Not quite. Tate will be a senior, that's true. But Fannin will only be a junior......and Eric Smith will be a sophomore. And I think Smith will end up being a Rudy clone before it's all over.

That being said, there will be plenty of plays to go around in this new offense, I think. So I hope Mr. Oku choses the Plains.

Oku has already committed to Tennessee, he just told Oku to visit Auburn and Syracuse so they think they got him, and then slap Drayton and Trooper in the face and sign with Tennessee. Kiffin is a GREAT GUY!!!
