Is Missouri still planning on locking up Drinkwitz?

Empty calories and moral victories against Bama and Vandy (!) are enough for some. We had the same thing in 2014 and raised and extended Bielema, something most fans knew was stupid but our inept AD pushed. He went 7-6, including winning 2 SEC games and a Texas Bowl to get a big extension. Our AD called him one of the best coaches in the nation. I am sure big bad Missouri, who is not at all similar to lowly Arkansas, will learn from our mistakes and make Drinkwitz actually earn any extension
It will be interesting if they overpay to keep an obviously middling coach away from some of the openings this off-season. I've seen the exuberance from Eli after escaping lowly Auburn, some can see this as his peak accomplishments in advance, it will be obvious to others only with the benefit of hindsight
Inb4 we suck, yall will beat our arse again, etc

Depends on how we look to end the year, but it’s hard to win when you have a backup kicker and 3rd string QB

Drinkwitz is actually a pretty good coach.
Yes, he is going to get a raise and extension this year. Just like every coach that has even a bit of perceived talent.
To many mid to high level vacancies and not enough talented candidates will create a dream scenario for sports agents.

If we do, we do. If we don’t, we don’t. I’m going to assume the people discussing that know more about upcoming NIL changes and how those may affect a HC’s valuation than I do.
There may be a correct move, but no posters on here know what that is.

instead of giving drink a raise, we should give him more money for his staff to go out and get a new oc
