I was at yesterday’s game, a few observations.

1. Nice fans (at least before the game) and even was offered some free beers. Second half, when they could smell blood, a lot of four letter words and drunks falling down (literally).

2. The stadium is just OK, really needs updating and improvements. I haven’t been to all that many away games but honestly, I like MSU’s stadium more than USCe. My son-in-law say there are improvements on the way.

3. Maybe it’s just me but the music seemed obnoxiously loud, way louder than BDS. I thought there was a rule where the music/artificial noise had to stop with a certain amount of time left on the play clock. For reason, I’m thinking they can’t keep going with less 15 seconds. I counted a number of times and they didn’t stop until there was ten seconds left or less.

4. Gotta admit the looks on the USC fans faces was priceless there at the end.

There are several bands in the conf that play right up until a second or two before the snap. Very high schoolish.

I wouldn't be surprised if Miss. State is warned this week from conference hq. Many fans were clanging their cowbells even after the snap

Ive been to a few games there. Can’t disagree with anything you said. The fans weren’t bad though. The only place I really had issues with fans was LSU. Just straight trash. Hell even Auburn was fine.

The SEC has been trying for years and years and years to get MSU to do something about the cowbells and every time, MSU says, “Absolutely, we’ll stop letting people in with them.” (wink, wink) and then proceed to let them in.

In the 2009 game there I had a 5 year old kid sitting behind me that clanged his fricking bell the entire game. I don't know how his arm didn't fall off.

My son attended MSU for one year in 2011 and even then, you weren’t supposed to let them in the stadium but he admitted security did a very half hearted effort to stop them. I’m sure that’s still the case.

The cowbell security at Davis Wade Stadium is reminiscent of our Southern border.

My step-dad and step-sister are MSU alums so I've attended dozens of State games over the years.

Their security doesn't say a word if you have one in your hand.

No, they haven’t. They’ve been giving lipservice to the cows bells.

It’s just like rushing the field. If they really wanted to stop it, they could easily do so. All you have to do is make the penalty meaningful.

There will be zero field rushing if conference games had a provision that the home team must forfeit the win if it happens.

That would work, but my problem with forfeiting is that it punishes the wrong people. The coaches and players that won the game didn’t rush the field, the fans did so punish the fans and the school administration.

If you rush the field, the next home game is played with zero fans. Not even family members even if it’s a playoff game. In addition to punishing the crowd, it would cost the school and community several million dollars. If somebody tried to rush the field, they’d be treated like someone who tries to Russian airliner cockpit gets treated today.

Right, it punishes the wrong people but it should create a self-policing within the stands and a SUBSTANTIAL desire to heavily enforce behavior by the athletics programs.

Would probably see some sort of pop up tall and sturdy barrier system technology emerge to outright deny access from the stands.

All music, bands, cow bells, are to stop when the center touches the ball. Supposed to be a rule but seems to be loosely enforced.

Georgia was pumping in loud music 2 seconds before the ball was snapped

I worked in Columbia for about four months last year, and have never been exposed to so many panhandlers in my life.

Was also there. Have seen people raving about the stadium and noise and crowd. I don’t get it. Thought it was incredibly mid. Sound system was crazy loud, crowd itself not so much.

I get why people could be frustrated with the game, but I saw our guys fight and claw to pull out a win, and I am proud of them.

Arkansas was blaring music literally up until the snap yesterday. I was surprised the Auburn coaches didn't cause a scene over it.

LSU fans take the prize when it comes to low class. I love it when they lose.
