my God what an absolute failure of a career outside of Ole Miss and a year at Liberty. Ole Miss elevates average coaches with its brand.

If Ole Miss is going to ever become a "next level" team, it has to start with not losing coaches to teams in the coaching ladder. You gotta put yourself up there to be a better destination school.

While at the same time not pulling a Woodward.

Goodness. Basically Auburn and OM have swapped places. Pat Dye is rolling over in his grave.

Lol incredibly stupid….under the current format Lane has already made the Playoffs twice in Oxford. But suddenly a random road game against Oklahoma will tell all lol….never realized just how dumb Florida fans are.

This logic is so beyond stupid.

Except for the 132 years of evidence proving it.

I can't remember Ole Miss having such a bad run as Auburn has had through multiple coaches. It's more like you switched places with Vanderbilt.

If Kiff is willing to go to UF, let him go.

UM is a better job.

If that is the case how would he do in Florida? Not much better and it might be due to his failure to win big games. Same for Drinkwitz and Franklin. Why do Florida AD and Florida fans think Kiffin can get it over the hump to beat a top ranked team as the Florida HC?

Are you 5? Ole Miss has mostly been the doormat of the SEC since the 70s…with a few decent seasons mixed in until hiring Lane.

Howard Schnellenberger started FAU football and went 58-74 winning 1 conference championship.

The next 3 coaches went 18-42.

Lane Kiffin went 26-13 at FAU and won 2 conference championships.

They're 26-39 since.

From 2008-2013 Tennessee finished above .500 once. That was 2009. The coach was Lane Kiffin.

Lane got fired on the tarmac by USC after losing a game where they only had 56 scholarship players.

People forget in addition to losing 30 scholarships over 3 years USC had already declined at the end under Carroll before Lane took over. Carroll lost 4 games in 09. That included a loss to a 5-7 Washington, a 27 point loss to a 3 loss Oregon, a 34 point home loss to a 5 loss Stanford, and a home loss to a 5 loss Arizona team.

Kiffin went 28-15

USC is 99-56 since.

Kiffin actually had a higher winning percentage under massive sanctions than USC has had since.

The only two recent NCAA hammer drops on blue blood programs comparable were early 2000s Alabama and the Penn State scandal.

First 43 games after the hammer:

2002-2005 Alabama: 25-18

2012-2015 Penn State 27-16

I think we have enough evidence to say Lane Kiffin is just a really good college football coach.

They dont get it, OM is only what it is right now because of Lane. When he leaves, theyll be back to struggling for 10 win seasons as they always have.
