QBR
1. Stockton 91.0
2. Green 90.9
3. Pavia 85.2
4. Chambliss 84.4
5. Simpson 82.6
6. Pribula 77.7
7. Nussmeier 74.0
8. Reed 72.4
9. Mateer 72.2
10. Aguilar 71.5
11. Arnold 61.1
12. Sellers 60.9
13. Boley 58.9
14. Manning 58.6
15. Shapen 57.3
16. Lagway 56.8
Passer rating
1. Simpson 170.92
2. Pavia 165.19
3. Reed 156.03
4. Green 155.90
5. Chambliss 155.73
6. Aguilar 153.59
7. Stockton 151.23
8. Shapen 146.91
9. Pribula 144.19
10. Sellers 142.47
11. Manning 140.38
12. Nussmeier 137.02
13. Mateer 134.51
14. Boley 128.90
15. Lagway 127.84
16. Arnold 122.29
OBR is supposed to give a better rating for overall game as running ability and decision making in the running game is factored in and has nothing to do with passer rating.
Manning's sub performance has kind of overshadowed Lagway.
But based on his performance last year as a starter, I'd almost say the disappointment for Florida fans may be just as bad.
Kind of interesting that Sellers is actually worse in QBR than passer rating. Takes too many sacks. That may affect his draft position as that's been one of the big problems with both Justin Fields and Caleb Williams.
Chambliss looks really good overall. Very impressive yesterday, however, it's amazing how several times yesterday his accuracy was so awful on passes over the middle. Early in the game, when he'd miss an open WR they'd eventually convert anyway. In the fourth quarter they didn't. If he had hit those, not sure UGA would've gotten him off the field.
Whatever you want to say about Stockton, these numbers weren't built in the cupcake games at all. The bigger the game, the better he seems to play. Did miss some open receivers yesterday that he could've thrown to for explosive plays but went check down or just ran it instead.
Simpson will pick you apart if you can't get pressure. Big advantage for Bama in matchups with Georgia in we can't generate it without simulation and not been that good even when we do that. And even then, he's good at reading where it's gonna come from and getting the ball out. Team with an above average DL can make Alabama look kind of plodding at times as they don't run well and Simpson, like most, is not as good if you can move him.

If Simpson's last name was Manning the talking heads wouldn't shut up about him.

Are the talking heads shutting up about Simpson?
Not saying it's not deserved, but he's no. 1 in Heisman odds and getting mentioned everywhere as the best QB in college.

A lot of his ratings are skewed by one disastrous game and he's improved since then.
Missed the entire spring and barely got any fall reps so in hindsight not surprising. He's also still playing hurt, which is not good at all.
If he'd been healthy and played like this I'd be more disappointed. Reality is he's injury prone and frankly should injury RS the rest of the season to get healthy, whether he stays or goes.
He has an uphill battle either way. Get and stay healthy and catch up on the reps. I don't think he'll have many big names offering him NIL to leave because you're just wondering how long until he gets hurt again.

Are Petrino and Green a package deal next season? Wherever Bobby ends up, he’ll bring in Green as his QB?

Green graduates this year 5th year senior

I thought he had another year. He could definitely be a difference maker on a better team.

Don't need a "better Team" need a better Defense, and DC...
and not all of the defense either. Crazy man

Watch any Alabama game. He's all they talk about.

Yeah it's wild how they talk a lot about the starting QB of one of the two teams playing.

Manning at 14 and 11 with 5 cupcakes played out of their 6 games. Dang

Not just Bama games. Any wrap up show or national podcast, and he's the first QB they mention now, especially with Beck's meltdown.
Again, it's deserved. Great QB. But to act as if he's not getting love right now is insane. Should he be getting more? Kind of hard to see how he could get more.
Manning would probably be talked more in terms of NFL draft and next level play due to the name.

That's what they told us about Pavia.

I mean the talking heads on sports shows like First Take, etc...they were even talking about Arch on the NFL pregame shows on Fox and CBS.

I think we're talking two different things here. You' re talking about preseason praise. I'm talking about right now. It'd be really hard for Manning to surpass the praise Simpson is getting right now from pure college football sites, media. If you're talking about stuff that's not strictly college football. Like would Dan Patrick wax poetic on Manning if he were doing what Simpson's doing. He'd probably get more coverage from Dan Patrick or Rich Eisen shows than Simpson would. But pure college football media that's only focused on that? Be kind of hard to do it.

The only thing media is focused on where Manning is concerned is how much he sucks. They have seen the light
