Of course most of the talk right now is about who is on the hot seat and surely more coaches will get shown the door. My question is who do you think will be coaching in new locations next season due to filling voids. My 2 cents

Kiffin - UF maybe, PSU- no,

Marcus Freeman - PSU possible, UF possible

Alex Golesh

Matt Ruhle

Clark Lea -I dont know how I missed this one. PTSD I guess…

Bonus content...
Premium jobs that people want to fire incumbent but likely too expensive:

FSU Norvell, $59 mil
LSU, Kelly, $56 mil?
Clemson, Dabo, $60mil+
Texas, Sark? not sure how rowdy it is for him yet

And if Freeman leaves ND, Clark Lea is probably their guy.

I doubt freeman leaves ND for UF or PSU. He could coach OSU since he went there. If Ryan Day goes to the NFL

I think UF fans want Kiffin or Golesh

One thing I found out about coaching at ND when BK left. It is extremely time consuming and complicated because you have to recruit nationwide and have an academic standard above your competitors. Also get a lot of influencing from the boosters. I suspect Freeman would be real happy to leave South Bend for another top tier job

Yeah but they have ways to get people eligible, just like everyone else.

In 2014, they had a big academic scandal with players having their work done by others.

Notre Dame ended up vacating their 2012 and 2013 seasons. The 2012 season was when they went undefeated until losing to Alabama, aka their best season under BK. Because they had played ineligible players.

And this all happened while BK was the coach.

Good thing Kelly isn’t working long hours or recruiting nationwide at LSU. And LSU will admit anybody or anything. This work/life balance is important. What do you think he does with all his new found free time? Insiders on messageboards claim he spends most of his time grinding on SidewalkTiger at gay bars and counting his money. He simply doesn’t have time to worry about developing an offense.

This is what buyer’s remorse looks like. LSU fans lashing out at Freeman because deep down they realize LSU hired the wrong Notre Dame coach.

quote:

Notre Dame (2021–present) On January 8, 2021, Freeman was hired as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Freeman was the top choice for the position of head coach Brian Kelly.[24] Prior to this hiring, it was rumored that Freeman would join LSU in the same role.

Brian Kelly is the reason Marcus Freeman didn’t end up at LSU.

Ross Bjork is their AD. You know they will make a run at Mark Stoops first

What a stupid take. “We” didn’t hire Kelly. Clean that grease off the floor. Somebody libel to slip.

No one is liable to slip worse than LSU has in the AP poll the last six weeks.

He has a better job currently than either one of those.

Yeah, the UND football roster isn’t a bunch of physics and French majors. People get silly about this.

Sark is safe until Manning leaves or he wins a championship.

LSU could buy out Brian but I don't think they would. It's also a harder sell to tell a new coach 9-11 wins still gets your arse canned.

FSU can't afford a buyout. Not yet. They're stuck for at least another season and it really highlights how dumb these guaranteed extensions are after a single good year.

Freeman would be a fool to leave ND right now.

There was a lot of negative opinions of the potential of Freeman leaving in my earlier posts. Today I read a complete article that focused on how high up the list he is for both PSU and UF. Also CBS put him on the candidate list as well. The big conclusion though is that ND will have to bend the knee to anything MF wants at the very least.
