Yes, they scored it. But in doing so gave his team absolutely no chance to win the game. Arkansas burned well over a minute of clock once they were in chip shot field goal range.

He was trying to save the timeouts so he wouldn’t have to count on an onside kick, but scoring took longer than he hoped.

There was no chance to win the game. Maybe he was just wanting to see his team continue to fight. Team as I mean offense. This defense can’t stop anyone. He knows he has to score on every possession to have a chance to win. So probably just dialing up plays to continue to evaluate effort. The offense has a lot of pressure on them because of the lack of defense.

He absolutely should have kicked the field goal. Even if Ark doesn’t recover the onside kick he had 3 timeouts to use with A&M trying to run the clock out.

I think that offense is pretty good. They gashed us more than anyone has all season.

Definitely the offense is great outside of greens decisions at times. But, that don’t mean anything when we can’t stop anyone. I hope we hire Petrino to give him a chance to bring in a defensive guy who can recruit that side of the ball. I’m not asking for a great defense. If hogs had just an average middle of the pack defense, this team would be a 1 loss maybe 2 loss team.

I do think they have a decent shot in Austin. He wins that game and it just might get him the job.
