Is Freeze sandbagging to get his buyout?

Seems like he gives up while ahead and the play calls are absolutely horrendous in big moments.

I don't think he's won a close game while at Auburn.

The aww shucks act feels like this is unfolding nicely for him and he can collect a fat check before focusing on his health and family.

I wish him the best.

I will never forget his half time interview at the Georgia game. That dude wasn’t trying to win anything.

I don’t know if it’s intentional, maybe he has no concept how to win - idk.

No, he’s not that calculating. He’s just bad coach.

My guess is that he's just tired, has his health issues (no way I could do my best at MY job with that hanging over my head), and is realizing that he's in over his head. With all of that, what he put himself through at Ole Miss, and probably being ready to spend time with grandchildren, how may people like that still going to have "the fire in his belly?"

Sad for him, painful for Auburn, but I suspect that's where he is. I have compassion for him, but I think it's time for him to go, today.

I’m sorry Hugh has cancer, but it’s not the reason he is not a winner.
He parlayed a football bouncing off a helmet into a $6,000,000 salary and a massive buyout.

I hate cancer, but it is not an excuse for being a miserable failure at being a head football coach.

In ten years, if an ESPN 30 for 30 or a book revealed that this was all part of a plan, it would make more sense than believing this is what “trying” looks like.

I picked the wrong season to quit drinking
