I have said it before, they get up off the mat better than any team I have ever seen.

I’ll give smart credit. He makes a hell of a halftime speech

Is he the best halftime adjustment coach in FBS? Maybe

I can understand some of the reasons they were able to come back in the second half.
- Kirby is a salty old dog that’s been coaching in the conference for a long time. He understands better than most how most conference games are dogfights, and he knows how to win those games.
-UGA usually has more talent and are the better team. Those traits usually win in the end.
- Experience playing and winning close games gives the team confidence to come back.
However, I can’t explain why they fall behind so often. They aren’t the most explosive team, so I can understand close games, but not trailing so often.

It makes no sense. The score at halftime nor the score at the end of the game. Maddening.

Kriby's just bored and trying to make the games more exciting.

The refs wake up at half times and realize Georgia is gonna lose unless they do something!!

That's a coaching stat if I've ever seen one.

With Auburn, I’ve read they basically ran an entirely different offense for most of the first half. But “ran out of new plays” (I think they ran 44 in first half) and were only up by 7 due to the fumble. Kirby told the team at half they couldn’t sustain what they’d been doing entire first half (lots of shot the coaches didn’t prep for) and that we would take over due to that.
Don’t know the validity.

It comes from Brooks Austin who was on the sideline with a press pass (as always) and a Georgia coach (to remain anonymous) told him this in the 2nd quarter.
So it's either true, or Brooks is a liar, or the GA coach who said this to him was wrong/lying.

There is a school of thought that halftime adjustments aren't "real," or are at the very least overvalued in terms of significance.
I disagree with that idea, and think Kirby is one of the best at it that I've seen.
In other words, yes, IMO he and his staff are among the best at neutralizing what you're trying to do once they have seen enough plays to figure it out.
