For all the frustration of say, Alabama Volleyball or the dip in Gymnastics and Soccer... or whatever ceiling Softball seems to have hit since 2012, it dawned on me, I cannot for the life of me think of any time at Moore, Battle or Byrne has let someone go (that wasn't Football, Baseball or Basketball) for just... losing.

So far it's always been a coach stepping down or leaving for another job. Wendell Hudson, Judy Green, Dana Duckworth, Todd Bramble, Ed Allen, etc.

But stepping down is a form of being fired? It’s just a nicer way of saying it.

Basically the same thing here; we just don't hear as much about the behind-the-scenes in non-rev sports. Hudson, Green, Duckworth, etc. earned the courtesy of not being publicly fired.

Yes and No. Likely means they were told, this can't go on and we're not going to extend your contract. Point still stands, has anyone ever been poor quality enough to earn a full, capital F, Firing.

Wendell Hudson was always such a peculiar hire from day one.

The man had not coached in a decade and, while being a MBB program legend, had long since moved into an administration career. It really felt like Mal Moore was putting a whole program on the backburner for the foreseeable future.

Should be noted Duckworth didn't leave for results. She embroiled herself in controversy, and her on the field results were actually quite good by the end, spending her last season as reigning SEC champions.

I don't really know anything about Coach Judy Green, but results wise it look like she found some success and then ran out of steam.

Is baseball considered a non-revenue sport?

If so, Greg Goff.

Didn't he also win a national championship?

Its on the line. It has a hard time running a profit at smaller schools, but SEC baseball programs should all be revenue generators.

Rashinda Reed should be the one. 8 conference wins in 56 meeting.

Rumors are she had the "come to jesus" meeting after last season with the AD, and shook up her entire staff, so she's probably got another season to get things going. She's probably the luckiest since Alabama Volleyball has a long history of achieving nothing. Probably our lowest rung sport.

While Kristy Curry and Wes Hart took multiple classes to get things moving, they attained "average SEC performance" status pretty quickly.

With the new ways of thread posting here doing away with the sticky posts, did that spell the end to Alabama_Fan? I always enjoy his threads that lump all the non-revenue sports into one thread
