Meh. Gets gets targeted a decent bit compared to others. Doesn't do much with it at times. I would target Branch and Young 60% of the time

That was the first catch I remember Delp grabbing and accelerating past defenders ala Bowers.

For all intents and purposes targeting our TEs left when Monken walked out the door.

I said that was going to happen when Bobo was hired and somewhere on this forum there’s a thread full of people telling me I was wrong.

Well any critique on here is met with fierce condemnation no matter how valid. You have to consider the mentality of the audience.

Our TEs had almost as many targets (85) in 2023 as they did in 2022 (91). This is despite playing less games and Bowers missing many games.

Our TE targets went down when the quality of TEs went down.

or Bobo regressed to the mean. I think there's an argument for the latter. Another reasonable explanation would be because our OL is so bad, they are having to be kept in more to block. Either way their catch production is down and either way it falls on Bobo as OC, so I guess we can pick our poison.

I was impressed with Delps speed on that play - didn’t know he had wheels like that. I feel like at this point we know what we have with Delp - if he could routinely do that we’d see it more often. I agree with others it’s time to see Williams - he seems a more capable blocker as well. He pancaked the shite out of a dude against Kentucky.
