I think we will try to get retain Kim but ultimately not get it.

I think we will go for a 2nd tier starter like Zach Gallen. I’d love Cease but we need money elsewhere. If Sale Schwelly and Strider stay healthy ofc.

That leaves SS and an OF preferably one they could play CF. I could see a move for someone like Volpe at SS, I think him and NY would want to part ways, but it can be the only plan. As for OF I’d be ecstatic about Kyle Tucker but I ain’t buying that, for some reason a lot of people are predicting schwarber to us? A guy who literally can’t field? Big pass imo. A major issue is for trades our farm isn’t exactly overflowing. I would try and sell high on Hurston imo but I know a lot of others don’t want that

Murphys injury has made him untradeable with his contract imo, which isn’t the worst thing since we are paying Baldwin basically nothing and they can switch out with Dh, etc.

I think the easiest way would’ve been to retain Kim but AA isn’t going to give him all the Boris shite he wants in contracts, and I don’t blame him here. I would make the best play I could for a good young SS like Gallen but I doubt the angles would do that. The cubs might do a deal with Nico Hoerner involving Hurston and he is great defensively and I’m sure would be at least average at SS.

If we are able to get buxton what is your opinion on how/what/when to do with Harris?

Hmmm I like what you’re laying out here assuming it can be pulled off. I haven’t really thought of it that way.

Needing to pull that off, shore up the BP, sign at least one respectable starter, and also have a clear upgrade at SS and backup plan for Ozzie. Lots of work for AA but as I said above I expect them to spend spend up to right below the third luxury tax line

As the Los Angeles Dodgers prepare to play in their second consecutive World Series, bench coach Danny Lehmann appears to be moving up the rankings to become the next manager of the Atlanta Braves.

Per MLB.com's Mark Bowman, Lehmann's candidacy has "seemingly strengthened" in recent weeks.

This is arguably the most desirable managerial opening in MLB right now. Spencer Strider, Ronald Acuña Jr., Austin Riley, Matt Olson, Spencer Schwellenbach, Drake Baldwin, Ozzie Albies and Michael Harris II are all under contract through at least the 2027 season.


Bowman noted the list of potential Braves' candidates has been dwindling recently, with David Ross, Mark DeRosa and John Gibbons not really considered strong options despite previously being mentioned as possibilities.

Lehmann has connections to Atlanta's front office, particularly general manager Alex Anthopolous, that make him stand out. The 40-year-old began his coaching career as a video scout with the Dodgers in 2016 when Anthopolous was their vice president of baseball operations.
