USA Today

USA Today: "Auburn has no shame when hiring coaches."

Auburn has historically fired coaches for less, and far more important, Auburn has no shame when hiring coaches.

If you’ll hire stained and discredited coaches like Bruce Pearl and Freeze, surely you’ll throw unthinkable cash at Urban Meyer to see if one of the greatest coaches of our generation wants one more shot at the SEC.

That’s why DJ Durkin makes sense: he’s got a tainted past and is a very good DC.

I don’t think Pearl was that tainted just for cooking a few hotdogs. But I may not know the whole story…

He's openly MAGA and pro Isreal. That is the whole story behind USA Today's annual Bruce Pearl hit piece.

Why take time to write a story about a non-relevant program?

I guess he figures the cult generates hits.

They are on a streak of 4 losing seasons with possibly a 5th this year.

Florida almost killed Urban. I imagine he would look at Auburn and say, "no thanks."

Urban wouldn’t sink himself low enough to take the AU job. Even with the scandals he has always been upwardly mobile. Utah - Florida - Ohio St - NFL. If he ever comes back it’s for a damn near guarantee of success.

Everybody piling on Auburn. By end of season they will be considered maybe not great, but a respectable team.
